Stainless Steel 347/347H Heat Exchanger Tubing is manufactured from columbium (niobium)-stabilized austenitic stainless steel containing 17–20% chromium and 9–13% nickel. Grade 347 exhibits superior resistance to intergranular corrosion, particularly following welding, while 347H has a higher carbon content (up to 0.10%) for increased creep strength and high-temperature use. The tubing has a tensile strength of 515–750 MPa and a yield strength of approximately 205 MPa. Both grades exhibit mechanical stability and oxidation resistance in continuous service up to temperatures of 900°C.

Stainless Steel 347/347H heat exchanger tubing is an austenitic chromium-nickel alloy that’s stabilized with niobium (columbium) to prevent carbide precipitation during high-temperature use. This alloy typically features 17–19% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and 0.5–1% niobium, with 347H having a higher carbon content for improved strength at elevated temperatures. These tubes boast impressive mechanical properties, including a tensile strength of 515–750 MPa, yield strength of 205–275 MPa, and elongation of 35–45%. They also provide outstanding resistance to creep, oxidation, and intergranular corrosion, making them perfect for continuous high-temperature service.
