Stainless Steel 347 and 347H Welded Tubing are niobium-stabilized austenitic stainless steels containing 17–20% chromium and 9–13% nickel. Grade 347 is heat-treated to prevent intergranular corrosion when being welded and exposed to high temperatures, while 347H has a higher carbon level up to 0.10% to improve creep strength and mechanical properties at high temperatures. The welded tubes provide tensile strength of 515–750 MPa and yield strength of approximately 205 MPa. They exhibit superior oxidation resistance and heat stability to 900°C with maintaining excellent weldability and formability.

Choose Stainless Steel 347 and 347H Welded Tubing from Blundell Pipes and Tubes for exceptional corrosion resistance, superior strength and excellent durability. Ideal for a variety of industrial applications it provides outstanding performance in harsh environments. With precision manufacturing and quality assurance, we ensure reliable and durable tubing solutions.
Stainless Steel 347 and 347H Welded Tubing primarily consists of iron, chromium, nickel, and niobium, with a controlled carbon content—higher in 347H—to boost high-temperature strength. The addition of niobium stabilizes the steel, preventing the formation of chromium carbide and enhancing resistance to intergranular corrosion. Mechanically, these tubing grades showcase excellent tensile and yield strength, high toughness, and superior creep resistance at elevated temperatures. They also offer outstanding weldability, thermal stability, and oxidation resistance, making them ideal for demanding industrial applications that require long-lasting durability under heat and pressure.
